SDG 6: Clean Water And Sanitation

6.3.5 Water-conscious planting

The university has a large number of trees, including perennials, trimmed trees, shrubs, ornamental flowers and lawns. Most of the trees are perennial trees that are quite old, such as palm trees, tamarind trees, Nonsi trees, and Khoi trees, so they do not need to be watered often and will be watered during the dry season. But because Phetchaburi Province is a province with a relatively long rainy season, or approximately 7 months, it does not require much water to take care of the trees. There are also many water reservoirs within the university, so water from the water sources is used to water other plants. In addition, wastewater is used to water trees to be useful again.
