1.3.5 Low or lower-middle income countries student support
Phetchaburi Rajabhat University places strong emphasis on creating opportunities and promoting equity in access to education by providing scholarships to support students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, low-income households, and lower-middle-income families on an ongoing basis throughout each academic year. The support includes both scholarships provided by the University and scholarships from external organizations, with contributions and cooperation from government agencies, private-sector organizations, foundations, and other institutions.
Scholarship allocation is carried out in accordance with the criteria and eligibility requirements established for each type of scholarship, taking into consideration students’ economic circumstances and individual needs. This approach ensures that financial assistance reaches students who are genuinely in need. Scholarships include both non-repayable awards and continuing scholarships, with different forms of support depending on the conditions of each funding source.
These scholarship programs serve as an important mechanism for reducing students’ educational expenses and increasing opportunities for students facing economic constraints to access and continue higher education. They also contribute to reducing inequalities and promoting equitable access to education in a tangible and sustainable manner.
