3.3.4 Sexual and reproductive health care services for students

             The university has created knowledge and understanding about sex, pregnancy and disease prevention, as well as established a counseling center for students to have life skills and sexual behavior that are not at risk of pregnancy by professors in the field of Mental Health and Psychiatry. There is a handbook for advisors specifying sexuality and has been distributed to advisors of each faculty and published on the website of Student Development Division, Office of the President.

           In addition, the university also organizes projects/activities to make students aware of premature pregnancy and to encourage students to understand the right way of thinking and problem solving, and to increase their sexual immunity. In the form of free access, the project “Teenagers, young people, away from sexually transmitted diseases” was honored by Ms. Supannee Saritapirak, a public health expert of the Phetchaburi Provincial Public Health Office. Lecturers provide knowledge on sex education and AIDS to build knowledge and understanding of sex education and self-development when entering adolescence, to gain knowledge and skills in dealing with situations related to sex, to raise awareness of the importance of self-esteem and build more self-esteem

            The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences educated about sexuality and reproductive health by writing articles published on the Faculty’s website and university communications on the topic of self-examination of breast cancer, the use of cannabis extracts in pregnant women and the topic of warning signs of breast cancer.

        The Faculty of Education organizes sex education and prevention of unwanted pregnancy for new 1st year students through an online format. Acting Lieutenant Witwisit Wongkhiao, Lecturer in Sport Science at Loei Rajabhat University and a sexuality lecturer was a speaker in organizing this event.

      The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a workshop on reproductive health, contraception and disease prevention. Knowledge and hands-on activities on the topic of sex education on reproductive health, contraception and disease prevention, resulting in students having knowledge and skills in self-care appropriate to their age and protect yourself from sexually transmitted risks and diseases.
