2.5.2 Events for Local Farmers and Food Producers
The University provided 27 free of charge projects and activities building food security and agricultural technology as well as sustainable aquaculture knowledge and skills to local farmer communities in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan which were under the Action Plan and Strategy Plan for local community development of Fiscal Year 2021, and there was one paid project as shown in the table below.

Extension and development of local community products such as sugar palm bar soap and herbal balm
– Generation of learning process, production, marketing and budgeting to benefit the community; developing quality and format of the products to meet standard, be qualified and unique; adding value to the products to meet consumer needs increasing community income as well as solving poverty related problems
2. Integrating Engagement to Solving Local Community Poverty

Outcomes
– Reduced expenses and increased income which people in the community could earn the extra income from selling woven fabrics and woven fabrics products
– Availability of agricultural products for consumption during the spread of Coronavirus 2019
– Shared agricultural products among the community members and generating collaboration in the community
3. Safe Food Extension: from Farming Plots to Local Food Development

Increased income for people in the community; encouraged more safe and non-chemical crop planting; upgraded quality of local food in Huay Krieng Community to meet community tourism based standard
5. Local Community Development Via Waste Management Model at Hua Thung – Thung Prao Pattana and Further Development in Other Communities in Phetchaburi
