Phetchaburi Rajabhat University has a key mission to contribute to local development and improve the quality of life of people in the community. The University aims to promote self-reliance, strengthen economic stability, and reduce poverty in a sustainable manner by integrating its missions in teaching and learning, research, academic services, and local development with the context and needs of local communities. These efforts cover economic, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions.
In the 2025 academic year, the University implemented the Phetchaburi Rajabhat University Strategic Development Plan, with a focus on sustainable community development, creating economic opportunities, and reducing inequalities among people in the local area. This was achieved through projects and activities that applied the University’s knowledge, research, innovations, and expertise to community development. These initiatives included academic services for occupational development and income generation, the promotion and capacity building of entrepreneurs and community enterprises, as well as the development of local cultural assets and resources to create additional economic value.
In addition, the University promotes entrepreneurship through various mechanisms and initiatives, including the Phetchaburi Rajabhat University Business Incubation Unit (PBRU-UBI). The unit supports the development of business ideas, the commercialization of knowledge and innovations, and the enhancement of entrepreneurial and employability skills to generate income. These efforts contribute to strengthening the local economy and supporting sustainable poverty reduction in local communities.
